I titled this section “counterfeits may be exquisitely similar” so let us now pick up that theme. As you might imagine my son experienced some consternation over this. “I entered it on the JBL website directly,” he said. Spoofed! Some hackers will reverse-engineer legitimate websites to trick unwitting users into giving away their credit card data. That is spoofing; Colin got spoofed. He had a lot more phone calls to make and shortly I got another email.
Spiritual spoofing?
Ok, so now we are back to spoofing on a spiritual level.
While it is merely a human hacker aiming for our money it is a spiritual hacker aiming for our souls. Many counterfeits are present in the world, and the messages they give are very, very close. They spoof the real Jesus and assemble entire religions and religious cultures complete with answers to debunk truth. Families and generations get trapped by these spiritual hacks. It is sad; it is real; it is for keeps. We must be careful to understand what God has put on display for us and given us. Be skeptical of any who come along for your soul and that of your family.
