Station 6: Jesus shows up. Beast 1 and 2 go out.
So Satan trashes Babylon and then in Revelation 19 we see heaven opened. Who is standing in that opening but Jesus Christ, astride a war horse with his army behind him. A battle is about to commence and the outcome is so sure that the angel calls the birds to a feast. Beast 1 is captured. Beast 2, the false prophet, the anti-Christ is captured.
These two beings are dispatched from their world influence. They are placed alive in the lake-of-fire and as best I can tell they will stay there forever.
The army of Christ does not merely go after the demon and his demon inspired/empowered minion. Also wiped out are the armies that had been gathered to make war against Jesus.
Station 7: An angel shows up. The Dragon is sent out.
After the Dragon’s subordinates are subordinated into the lake of fire Satan is caught, chained and thrown into a different place. I think that Beast 1 and Beast 2 are done for being in the lake-of-fire. It seems so because after the final judgment of the souls of the earth that is where they go. Note, though, that Satan is placed into the “pit” or the “abyss.” It is from this place that the locusts were reported to come in earlier Revelation chapters. It seems to be more of a holding tank.
So Satan fails, again. He failed to catch the baby when he was born. He failed when fighting a great battle in the heavens being earth-banished. There he failed to catch the woman when she fled. He failed with the non-Christ following humans at Babylon. His Beast minions failed at the hand of Christ and now he fails at the hand of an angel. Not even God is necessary to lock him up.
