Note the failures of Satan
Satan is not a success story.
- He fails to best God.
- He fails in his fight with Michael and the loyal angels
- He fails with humanity. They use him for their own ends
- His minions are caught and dispatched into hell
- He is trapped by an angel
- He ends up in hell.
We must never forget that he is powerful. Often failures are men or women of incredible strength at certain times.
What we must also forget is that the ways of Satan are not God’s ways, BUT they are ways that make sense to our fallen natures. How else would Satan be able to deceive humanity time and again. Humans think, like Satan thinks, that power and position, prestige and pride, being king of the hill is valuable in and of itself. Look, though, at what it netted him. A pit of misery, and eternal tour there. No “dilly, dilly” there (this is a series of Bud Light commercials in the 2017-2018 era with a lot of buzz…as it falls by the wayside head on over to YouTube. You will be able to find them there).
Do you want to argue? Do you think that by covert means or undermining those around you you will advance? Set it aside. Follow the ways of Christ. They may seem a bit off the point your want, but they are a seriously, advantageous route to follow. They will lead you home.
Note a success of Satan
This is a sadder thing for Christians. One that requires wisdom. Beast 1 will be successful in harming the church. In Revelation 13:7 we see that Beast 1 was allowed to make war on the church. Not only so, but to conquer them. Here it the link to a page where I mentioned this in my run of lessons on this book.
Many of those who would die at the hands of Satan would be behind Jesus when he came forth to destroy the armies drawn up against him. So, God is good and sees the biggest picture. We have to have wisdom, patience and endurance. We can resist the devil and overcome his temptations. We many not overcome the sword, but he wields that sword in an effort to make us bend and reject God. Don’t bend. Don’t bend. Allow the break of death and leave the rest to God. There is the true victory.
