After a bit of time adding no new things into my Local Guide contributions world I jumped back in.
There are whop
Now, this little business park (307 Commerce Drive) has six businesses in it, but 3 of them (S&K Flooring, Mobile Lube 2U, and The Graybill Company) were not on Google Maps. These little business places are Local Guide gold. Add these three places, and that gives 45 points. There are more to be had with phone numbers, websites, and photos.
When I came to Living Spotless there was no address listed. Having added other places here the address was obvious, but there was no way to add it. What’s up with that? My first thought was they did not want disgruntled clients popping over to their place so they blocked their address, but that did not seem too likely. After all
Look at what the map did show, though: a big circle.
Somewhere in the back of my brain (Servpro? Nope, I just checked) I recalled seeing this before, but I never drilled down into it too much. So, what I think is happening here is the business is preferring to demonstrate their service area rather than the home office.
Pendings edits
If you’ve not done a lot of these additions here is what this one looked like. I wanted to put in map links to S&K Flooring, etc. that I mentioned above. Many are still pending just now. Here is an image of what “My Contributions” page looks like under Edits.
The time seems a bit variable on on when these will be approved. Eventually most are. Then it takes a bit longer till the points accrue.
